Eligibility
The office will provide services to students with disabilities that are currently enrolled at DePaul University and meet the federal definition of qualified individuals with a disability. An individual is considered a qualified individual with a disability if he or she meets any one of the three categories:
- has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or
more of the major activities of such individual.
- has a record of such an impairment or
- is regarded as having such an impairment.
Students with disabilities who are thinking of attending DePaul University are encouraged to utilize the Office for information, resources and as a liason to other University services. In order to obtain services from the office, students with disabilities must complete a needs assessment provided by the Office of Students with Disabilities at the beginning of each school year
Application for Services
All
students who want to request
services from OSD are required to contact OSD, complete a Needs Assessment form - provide documentation detailing his/her disability and meet with the staff of OSD.
