2009-2010 Student Organization Registration/Recognition Process
The Office of Student Life welcomes you to the 2009-2010 Student Organization Registration/Recognition Process at DePaul University. Student organizations must (re)register each year to gain access to the privileges student organization registration/recognition provides. Student organizations are expected to follow the policies and procedures of the Office of Student Life in order to maintain their status with DePaul University.
Your student organization may choose to either be Recognized Student Organizations or Registered Student Organizations. Recognized Student Organizations seek minimal resources from Student Life, often supported by DePaul department or college, and/or not eligible to apply for Student Activity Fee Board (SAF-B) funds. Registered Student Organizations seek various resources from Student Life and eligible to apply for SAF-B funds.

1. Prepare for the registration/recognition process
- Create/update the organization profile
- State Registration or Recognition Status (see above)
- Edit and add to the organization roster (must have a minimum of 4 members to be approved, but the expectation is to have 100% of members listed on the roster) including all executive board officer information. You will not need to create a roster from scratch, but can edit your existing organization based on who is a current member.
- Provide Advisor information if applicable
- Upload your Student Organization Constitution and Bylaws Sample Constitution and Bylaws
2. Demon Direct, our online registration and student organization management tool
- 2009-2010 Student Organization Presidents or Primary Student Contacts are recommended to complete Demon Direct. Current Presidents or Primary Student Contacts may complete, please remember to update information by Fall 2009.
- Go to Demon Direct and login using your campusconnect login. New users of Demon Direct will be instructed to create a profile account.
- Select "CURRENT STUDENT ORGANIZATION RE-REGISTRATION/RECOGNITION PROCESS: 2009-10"
- For currently recognized/registered student organizations, select "Choose your organization"
- For new student organizations, select "Begin Submission"
- Do not submit the Demon Direct application without completely finishing all components (including the minimum of 4 members)
3. Your student organization is required to schedule a registration workshop to complete the student organization registration process. Please email StudentLifeInterns@depaul.edu your organization name, contact information, and 3 possible dates and times to meet.
4. If your student organization will be applying for 2009-2010 Student Activity Fee Funding (SAF), your organization is required to have one person attend the SAF-B Workshop.
5. Once the workshops or online training are completed, your Student Life liaison will approve your student organization.
