9:30am-10am, Convocation (Lincoln Park Campus, St. Vincent de Paul Church, 1010 W. Webster Ave.)
Serving as a bookend to graduation, New Student Convocation officially convenes to open the academic year. The convocation ceremony is an informal yet celebratory event designed to welcome new students into the DePaul University community.
10am-3pm, New Student Service Day (Directly following Convocation)
Join new students, faculty, staff, alumni and student leaders for the tenth annual New Student Service Day. Help bring the Vincentian mission to life by spending the day with your classmates serving the Chicago Community!
5pm-7pm, New Student Picnic (Lincoln Park Campus, Quad)
Celebrate the Class of 2011 with great food and music on the Quad.
7:30pm-9:30pm, Blue Demon Community Meeting, (Lincoln Park Campus, Athletic Training Center)
All campus meeting for new students. Find out how to get involved, walk away with a variety of giveaways (including an i-Phone), and find out some of the new & exciting programs we have this year to offer students. Meet coaches and players from DePaul Athletics.

Join us for the first Loop mass of the school year, and you are welcome every weekday at noon.
7pm-9pm, Bingo Night (Lincoln Park Campus, Student Center 3rd Floor, University Ministry)
Join DCSA (DePaul Community Service Association) in a fun night of Bingo, food and the opportunity to meet fellow peers.
4:30pm-6pm, Adult Student Welcome Reception (Loop Campus, DePaul Center, DePaul Club)
The Office of Adult Student Affairs will host this reception to welcome all students 24+ years to DePaul. There will be lots of food, give-aways and resource materials available.

Join us for Real Life Recess on the Quad! Campus Recreation heads up this event filled with free food, music, fun and games. Other campus departments and off-campus sponsors are involved donating raffle prizes and providing free giveaways. Participate in group fitness classes, instructional programs and various sports challenges and contests. Come meet our club sport teams and see what kinds of outdoor equipment we have available. Join Residence Hall Council and participate in a 5K Run & Walk in Grant Park. Actual run begins at 9:50am. To join DePaul's team, register online at http://afc.aidschicago.org by noon on Wednesday, September 12th. Pre-event day registration is $20; day-of registration is $25.
