OTM stands for Of the Month and it is a fast and easy way to give recognition to people around your campus. The awards can be given on a campus, state, regional and national level! Anyone can nominate someone for an OTM and anyone can win an OTM. There are 7 categories for individuals and 3 for programs. The categories include:
- Advisor: Must be affiliated with Residence Hall Council
- Community: This is for groups of individuals who have made an impact on campus whether it is
a hall floor, hall council, or an RA staff.
- Executive Board Member: Any member of the RHC Executive Board who has gone above
and beyond on campus.
- ICC/NCC: At DePaul University there is only 1 person who fits this category and that is the
National/Illinois Communications Coordinator, but you may nominate a person with the same
position at another school.
- Resident Assistant: This includes any undergraduate student filling the role as an advisor or
assistant whether it be an RA, FA, etc.
- Spotlight: Any non-student that doesn’t fit any of the other categories goes right here. This can
include Public Safety officials, Chartwell’s employees, facilities staff members, etc.
- Student: This category if for any student who doesn’t fit any other category that has been doing a
job and making an impact around campus.
- Educational Program: Any program that was meant to educate residents, or members of a
specific organization on a given topic (ie: leadership training, alcohol awareness, etc.).
- Community Service Program: This type of program revolves around philanthropy or some
sort of service for others.
- Social Program: Social programs are events that get residents together to do something fun
and promote community amongst residents.
You may submit an OTM by filling out a form on the "Forms" page. You will find out the winners by checking the website or checking Channel 4. Winners will be contacted by email an will receive a certificate.
