The Residence Hall Council is a student organization that serves as the liaison between the students living on campus and DePaul University’s administration. RHC is also one of the largest programming organizations on campus.
Programming occurs in both the residence halls and campus wide in order to enhance the college experience and create a friendly networking environment for all of the residents. Some traditional programs include Welcome Week, Ice Cream Socials, Baseball game outings, Lunch and Zoo Trips, Craft bonanzas, Not Your Typical Diversity Week, and free vacations during Memorial Day Weekend.
In addition to programming in the residence halls, RHC also offers services to residents from outside vendors. The Residence Hall Council works with these companies to provide lofts, mirofridges, linens, student advantage cards, storage, welcome packages, and finals kits to the residents and their families.
Getting involved with the Residence Hall Council is also a great way to gain leadership skills and meet people. If you are planning on becoming a Resident Advisor (RA), RHC is a great place to gain valuable experience that will help you if you become an RA.
To learn more about the Residents Hall Council please come to one of our General Council meetings. We look forward to seeing you there!
