Residence Director (Anticipated Opening)
Reporting to an Assistant Director, the Residence Director (RD) is a full-time, live-in professional. The RD serves as an advisor, counselor and facilitator of student success. Specific responsibilities include the administration of a residential area including staff supervision, discipline, crisis response, community building, and routine campus duty coverage including during non-business hours.
Successful RD candidates must have a commitment to student success, an appreciation for multiculturalism, be well organized and able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment as a member of a dynamic team. Some evenings and weekend work is required. A master’s degree and prior residence life experience is strongly suggested for all RD candidates.
Coordinator for Theme Communities
The Coordinator for Theme Communities (CTC) is a member of the Department of Residential Education and is considered a part-time professional. The CTC is responsible for the coordination of our four newly created theme communities—Healthy Living and Wellness, Faith and Spirituality, Cultural Appreciation and Student Leadership. The CTC coordinates the application process, orientation, budget, programming and events, recognition and assessment of these communities. He/she will have weekly meetings with the leaders of our theme communities and monitor violations of policy in these areas.
A successful CTC candidate must have a commitment to student success, an appreciation for multiculturalism, willing to work on nights and weekends, be well organized and able to work under pressure with multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment as a member of a dynamic team.

Resident Advisors
Resident Advisors are paraprofessional student staff who live in the residence halls. They work with residents in the areas of programming, academic support, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for students who live there. Check back for selection updates, timeline and application materials!

Resident Advisor positions are no longer being
accepted. Student Office Assistants
Student Office Assistants work with professional staff in the Department of Residential Education. They perform clerical work and other related office projects. When an actual vacancy occurs information will be provided here and on the Career Center web site.
Residence Directors
Residence Directors are full-time professional staff who live in the residence halls and assist students in a variety of ways including; programming, emergency response, roommate concerns, personal wellness and connectedness to the DePaul community. In the event that a Residence Director position becomes available applications may be submitted through the Human Resources website. Representatives will also be recruiting at Osh Kosh Placement Exchange (OPE) and other national conferences.
Assistant Directors
There are two specialized assistant director positions in the Department of Residential Education. One focuses on programming and training and the other on student success. When an actual vacancy occurs it will be listed on the Human Resources website and candidates may apply there. |
