Our vigilant attention to the common good, to the betterment of our world, and to the sacred dignity of all people, especially the poor and the marginalized is central to the full expression and realization of DePaul’s Catholic, Vincentian and urban mission. In other words, we have a commitment to social responsibility which is deeply rooted in our Vincentian heritage and values.

As a student/graduate of DePaul University, you are invited to sustain this Vincentian commitment outside the walls of our campuses and to make a difference with your personal and professional life.

Graduating Students that have pledged will receive a green ribbon at cap and gown pick-up. Also, if students choose, they will be added to an alumni e-mail list where information will be disseminated biannually about sustaining your commitment to social responsibility.

I pledge to explore and take into account the social, humanitarian and environmental consequences of any job I take, and I will strive to improve these aspects in my daily life and in any organization for which I work.
