Parent and Family Engagement
At DePaul we recognize that you are an integral partner to your student's success. We are here to support you and create opportunities where you can become educated and engaged as a member of the DePaul family. Through our programs and resources our goal is to help you stay connected with the university, while supporting you as you take an active role in your student's experience. Additionally, we strive to contribute to goodwill for the University and promote appropriate roles for parents and family members within the campus community. Thank you for visiting our site!

Parent & Family Orientation
If you would like to join your student as a guest at orientation, please have your student add you as a guest when they register. Remember that orientation is mandatory for your student, but not for parents or families of DePaul students. If you would like more information on our orientation program and Frequently Asked Questions and accommodation information, please visit the orientation page.
Parent & Guest Program
We invite and encourage parents, spouses, and primary supporters to attend orientation. The Parent & Guest Program is designed specifically to provide students' primary supporters with the resources necessary to successfully support their student.
Students can register up to two guests to accompany them at Premiere or Transition DePaul. It is important to note that the Parent & Guest Program runs concurrently to the student program, with some sessions together and some sessions separate.
Family Weekend 2014
Family Weekend is a University-wide event intended to welcome parents and family members to (or back to) campus during the Fall Quarter. This is a great opportunity to experience campus in the heart of the quarter and during a lovely season in the city.
Many campus offices will offer events for guests to campus that weekend, but we will also share many other campus goings-on during the weekend – you can be as leisurely or as busy as you'd like!
Save the Date! Family Weekend 2014 will take place on October 17 – 19!
Registration will open in the summer, with an online registration process. Registration will be open online until Sunday, October 12th at 11:59 PM; after that time, you will be able to register on-site when you arrive on campus for Family Weekend.
Registration is required for admission into Family Weekend events. We appreciate your advance registration as it aids in our planning. Payment must be completed at the time of registration. Any refunds for cancellations must be requested in writing, and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
While your registration fee permits you to attend any event or program listed on the Family Weekend schedule at no additional charge, there are some events with limited capacity, which require your advanced RSVP. If you plan to attend any of these events, please RSVP when you register – these events will be identified as “additional RSVP required”. RSVPs will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event schedule for Family Weekend will be updated once events have been confirmed. Check back regularly for updates; however, upon check-in at Family Weekend, you will receive a full schedule of events and detailed descriptions of those events.
