A justice issue that I am strongly concerned with is education. I believe that all individuals are eligible to obtain a high quality education and therefore it should be open to all people.

Nicole Jones

Senior, Journalism major

Service Site: St. Vincent's Soup Kitchen

Since studying journalism and the decimation of information, I've become passionate about learning how to work for greater diversity in the press. Information is power and mainstream media is plagued by economic and political interests that marginalize public interest and dissenting viewpoints of all spectrums. Independent media is essential to an informed democracy.

Jesus Marquez

Senior, double major: Religious Studies and Psychology (Human Development)

Next year I hope to explore core Christian values of service and solidarity within a spiritual context different from my owm. By engaging in a mutual experience of learning (through reflection and action) with the other house members, our individual as well as collective spiritualities will be enriched. A justice issue that I'm passionate about is the complex relationship between societal inequalities and structural oppressions; especially within the context of historical and present Latin America.

One social justice issue I am passionate about is immigration to the
