Since studying journalism and the decimation of information, I've become passionate about learning how to work for greater diversity in the press. Information is power and mainstream media is plagued by economic and political interests that marginalize public interest and dissenting viewpoints of all spectrums. Independent media is essential to an informed democracy.

Next year I hope to explore core Christian values of service and solidarity within a spiritual context different from my owm. By engaging in a mutual experience of learning (through reflection and action) with the other house members, our individual as well as collective spiritualities will be enriched. A justice issue that I'm passionate about is the complex relationship between societal inequalities and structural oppressions; especially within the context of historical and present Latin America.

One social justice issue I am passionate about is immigration to the
United States. I am specifically interested in the human rights violations on the Mexico/U.S. Border. My goal is to educate myself and others on the border situation and to fight for the thousands of people dying each year for a better life.

homelessness, global injustice, environmental

overreaching focus that i have taken is working to
ensure the ability for self determination, for
nations, communities, individuals, workers, families,
