Mark began as the AVP for University Ministry in June of 2005. He holds a Masters of Divinity from the Institute of Pastoral Studies at Loyola University Chicago (1999). As an Associate Vice President, Mark provides comprehensive leadership and direction for the Department of University Ministry, and he is a member of the DePaul Student Affairs leadership team.

Prior to his work at DePaul, Mark was the Executive Director of Amate House, a post-graduate service and faith formation program within the Archdiocese of Chicago. In addition, he has had extensive and varied pastoral experiences, including hospital/hospice chaplaincy, high school teaching/ministry, and young adult faith formation and development. Mark is bilingual in Spanish, which he developed during a two year lay mission experience in Santiago, Chile, where he served upon graduating from the University of Notre Dame in 1989.

Mark and his wife, Paula, have four children, reside in the Galewood neighborhood on the far west side of Chicago, and are members of St. Giles Parish in Oak Park.
