University Ministry is DePaul’s leader in supporting and strengthening the religious and spiritual life of DePaul students and the University community.

Inspired by the legacy of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, we participate in the Vincentian tradition by:

  • being rooted in faith and prayer

  • forming vibrant communities which connect faith to everyday life

  • dedicating ourselves to the service of others, especially to people who are poor or marginalized

  • practicing a distinctive personalism based on a belief in the sacred dignity of all people

Our Vision

University Ministry will strengthen institution-wide attention to the religious and spiritual development of students as an integral dimension of DePaul University’s mission, as an essential element of the DePaul Student Experience, and as critical to the education of “socially responsible future leaders.” In doing so, our work will have a positive, visible and measurable impact on the religious and spiritual life of the DePaul community and on the success of DePaul’s Vision Twenty12.
