Contact Chaplain Katie Brick to help plan a Commerce Service Immersion trip, set up a Commerce volunteer service opportunity, or find out how University Ministry can help your student group find a meaningful volunteer opportunity.


For those who would like to participate in existing weekly service opportunities out of the Lincoln Park Campus, go to http://studentaffairs.depaul.edu/ministry/dcsa.html to find out more about DePaul Community Service Association groups.  Opportunities range from Habitat for Humanity to tutoring to working with the elderly.

Contact Chaplain Katie Brick to join with other SNL students to plan a new SNL-specific volunteer opportunity or to get groups together for Vincentian Service Day.

CLIC (Computer Literacy in our Community) promotes, tutors and teaches computer literacy to economically disadvantaged members of society in order to raise awareness and bridge the digital divide. CLIC is a part of the DePaul Community Service Association (DCSA).

DeFrag is CDM’s student gaming organization. Besides being a social opportunity, DeFrag is committed to community service initiatives including “Vids for Kids” an effort to collect video equipment and software for local children’s hospitals and agencies.

CSI (Community Service Initiative)
is a student led initiative linking law students with meaningful legal and non-legal community service opportunities in the city of Chicago. Through service students gain valuable experience and skills while creating stronger communities and helping to remedy social injustice. From tutoring in Chicago public schools to assisting with criminal expungements, CSI provides an invaluable complement to the academic life of law school. The Louise Project for Social Justice is a partnership between the DePaul College of Law and Jones College Prep High School, a Chicago Public School in the South Loop. Louise matches law students with Jones high school students for tutoring and mentoring. Also through Louise, DePaul faculty and staff are invited to guest lecture in Jones’ classes on law related subjects. For information please contact Deepa Paul at deepa1227@hotmail.com.
