Longer Travel Times on the CTA

Riders of the Brown, Red and Purple lines will soon encounter significantly longer travel times and overcrowded trains and platforms. The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) has indicated that the track work will begin April 2, 2007 and last until 2009. This construction will affect students who use public transportation to commute to campus and/or those who travel between DePaul’s Chicago campuses. As you register for courses, please factor in the additional time it may take you to get to campus or the extra time it may take you to travel between the Loop and Lincoln Park campuses on the CTA.  Updates on the construction will be available at www.ctabrownline.com, the site for the Brown Line Capacity Expansion Project.

Importance of updating your contact information
New Government regulations require all non-immigrant international students in F-1 and J-1 visa status as well as their dependents (F-2 and J-2 visa status) to provide their current addresses and to report changes immediately. You are required to provide and maintain the following addresses: Home, Mailing and Permanent. Failure to update your address via Campus Connection could result in a loss of legal non-immigrant status, and a loss of eligibility to remain in the U.S. to complete your studies.  For more information read Updating Your Address in Campus Connection.
