DePaul provide health insurance
for students?
DePaul University is pleased to
offer The DePaul University
Student Health Insurance Plan
underwritten by Aetna Life
Insurance Company, administered
by Chickering Claims
Administrators, Inc.
The DePaul University Student
Health Insurance Plan has been
developed especially for DePaul
students and their dependents.
The Plan provides coverage for
illnesses and injuries that
occur on and off campus and
includes special cost-saving
features to keep the coverage as
affordable as possible. The
policy period the Student Health
Insurance Plan is for an
academic year from September 1st
through August 31st.
The Student Health Insurance
Plan with The Chickering Group
is voluntary and is NOT included
in the student's tuition
package. For more information

2. What
is the difference between
student health insurance and
health services?
The DePaul University Student
Health Insurance Plan is
underwritten by Aetna Life
Insurance Company, administered
by Chickering Claims
Administrators, Inc. and offers
coverage for illnesses and
injuries that occur on or off
campus.
The Health Insurance Plan
functions as a standard PPO plan
and features a major medical
design with a $100,000 lifetime
aggregate maximum benefit per
illness or injury. The Student
Health Insurance Plan with The
Chickering Group is voluntary
and is NOT included in the
student's tuition package. For

The DePaul Student Health
Service is offered through SAGE
medical group. If you live in a
residence hall, you're
automatically enrolled in DePaul
Student Health Services. Any
Health Services charges will be
noted on your tuition statement
under "housing" as
"medcare". If you
commute, one can gain access to
Health Service upon payment of
appropriate fees to one of the
University Payment Centers
(Schmitt Academic Center, 151-
LPC; DePaul Center 9900- Loop).
The cost of DePaul Student
Health Services is currently
$60.00 per quarter or $81.00 per
semester. To discontinue DePaul
Health Services coverage,
residence hall students must
present proof of alternative
medical insurance (a copy of an
insurance card or a letter from
the insurance company). Present
documents in person at the Dean
of Students Office (Student
Center, 307- LPC; 1400 Lewis-
Loop).
Student Health Service is NOT
health insurance; you may need
additional coverage. For a

Where can I go if I am having
problems with my student
financial account?
Students that are having
problems with their student
financial account can visit
Student Accounts in the DePaul
Center, Suite 9900 or call (312)
362-6628. For more information
on Student Accounts and payment
plans, please visit Student

4. What
do I do if I am not satisfied
with a grade that I received in
my class?
If you are not satisfied with
a grade that you received in
a class we recommend that
you schedule a time to talk
with your professor about
your concerns. For more
information on Academic Procedures
please reference the Code of
Student Responsibility.

Where can I get a student ID
card?
Student Identification cards are
provided for all students of the
University. You must visit the
ID Services Office and show a
valid ID to receive your student
ID card. For more information on
ID Services, please visit the Information Services Website
or call ID Services at

Where do I go to get
authorization to post flyers on
DePaul's bulletin boards?
Materials for posting on campus
must be approved and registered
with the Office of Student Life
(Suite 201 DePaul University
Student Center at LPC and 11th
Floor DePaul Center at LC). A
copy of all promotional
materials will be kept on file
and date stamped for timely
removal. Materials may be posted
for up to 14 days prior to the
event. All materials will be
removed the day after the event
has occurred.
Materials for posting in
residence halls must be approved
and stamped in the Residence
Life central office located in
Centennial Hall, Lincoln Park
Campus. The Residence Life staff
will distribute the flyers to
the halls for posting by the
hall staff.

Where can I go to get help with
my homework assignments?
DePaul offers academic support
services through the various
programs. Tutors can be of
assistance to students through
the respective colleges within
the University. To learn more
about tutoring opportunities,
please contact the college
office of which the class is
offered. DePaul's Writing Center
is another resource available to
all students. For more
information about The Writing
