The Office of Diversity Education is a center of learning, and the staff
believes strongly in the educational philosophy of "each one teach one."
Within this context, seasoned educators mentor students, helping them
develop the skills, values, and protocols needed to navigate DePaul
University as a system. While this service benefits all students, it is
especially important to students of color, first-generation-college
students, and students who experience difficult transitions into higher
education.
These same protocols and values serve students in their roles beyond DePaul,
where they become caring, competent, and compassionate professionals. This
same level of mentoring extends to graduate students and young educators,
as well.
