FILM SERIES
Once a
quarter, the Center hosts a film series dedicated to
highlighting issues within marginalized communities.
These films are used to promote dialogue on campus while
showcasing dynamic films and documentaries.
Film Series 2009: Unnatural causes: Racial and Social
Economic Disparities in Health.
•Becoming American (29mins): Latino immigrants arrive
healthy, so why don't they stay that way?
•Bad Sugar (29mins): What are the
connections between diabetes, oppression, and
empowerment in two Native American communities?
