Student Advocacy & Community Relations

Who We Are:

Provide a comprehensive infrastructure that supports the total student while providing appropriate "safety nets" of assessment, counseling, intervention and referral.

What We Do:

The office provides a "one stop" contact for student issues regarding navigating the DePaul University systems as well as providing connections to the Chicago area. In addition, the office provides challenges to the institution and the student body to ensure the inclusion of students with disabilities, international students and adult students in the life of the university community. The staff consults with faculty, staff and administrators regarding student trends and related issues and helps students connect with the university and external community.

Student Advocacy and Community Relations Goals:

Provide the comprehensive infrastructure for students which concentrates on assessment, advising, advocacy and response.

Provide assessment, intervention and evaluation regarding the quality of life and university environment for students.

Provide liaison opportunities for students to the university and external communities.

Serve as a consultant to faculty, staff and administrators regarding student trends and related issues.

Assemble university resources to influence and affect the culture and decisions as the university plans for the future.
