As an adult student, your education does not only happen in the classroom. At DePaul University, we offer many
opportunities to join organizations that enhance your educational experience and help you pursue your other
interests. You will find groups of people with common goals and an array of activities that will enrich your life.
You can also find service opportunities that can help shape and change your community.
Make sure you check out the over 100 registered student organizations on campus!
Adult Student Association (ASA)
The Adult Student Association provides
opportunities for students to network, share resources, and socialize with other adult students.
Members also have the advantage of working on important campus issues that impact adult students.
At DePaul, adult students are undergraduate students 24+ years of age and all graduate and professional
student. ASA works hard to respond to the needs of these students.
ASA meets quarterly but most information is available via the ASA listserve. To be added to the list,
please send an email to asa@condor.depaul.edu or come to the Adult Student Center to receive a Welcome Packet
when you sign up. Membership is FREE!
Toastmasters
Anxious about public speaking? Blither no longer! Gain the confidence to speak in front of large
groups of people. We provide tools, feedback, and a comfortable environment where you can practice your
skills, meet new friends, and take the path towards becoming a successful public speaker.
To join, please send an email to Phyllis Sullivan or Kim Duhart.
Start Your Own Organization
Don’t see an organization that fits your needs? Start your own! There are a variety of resources
that will assist you in recruiting new members, securing financial resources and building a strong
sustainable organization.
You can find information on the Student Life website
or just drop by the Lincoln Park (Student Center 201) or Loop (11027 DePaul Center) offices.
Adult Student Affairs will also support any new adult student group.
