Whether you want to live on or off campus, in the Loop or Lincoln Park,
there are a variety of housing options for adult students.
HOUSING
On-campus Housing
DePaul University offers on-campus housing for adult students. Students must
complete an application at the Department of Housing Services.
They will give you information about rates and available on-campus locations.
Some housing plans may require a meal plan.
University Center of Chicago (UCC) is one of the viable on-campus options for adults who want the convenience of downtown living in a student-friendly
environment. Quarterly rates during the regular academic year range from $2472-5871.
Off-campus Housing
The Department of Housing can also help you locate off-campus housing resources.
Loft-Right Apartments, an affliated property, can be rented by DePaul students and feature
many amenities including on-site management and laundry facilities. Monthly rates
range from $695-1055. Speak with a financial aid representative to determine if
your support package can cover a portion of the cost of living in this property.
Adult students can also take advantage of the many rental properties throughout
the city of Chicago. Apartment listings can be found online in the
Chicago Reader or through craigslist or you can get professional
help from services like Apartment People.
Other Housing Resources
Student Life’s Commuter Programs and Services Office created the
Off-Campus Student Housing Guide.
Students who need to know their tenant rights, to secure rental assistance, and to find
protection from unlawful eviction can find information at the City of Chicago’s Department of Housing,
the Illinois Tenants Union or the
Metropolitan Tenants Organization.
Information about temporary and emergency housing is available at the YMCA of Metropolitan
Chicago or Hostelling International of Chicago.
